Pioneer Day!

Every year in Kindergarten, history comes alive for these kids! This is one of my favorites activities that the kids do during their elementary school years!! They experience a day as if they were the pioneers - they rope 'steers', ride horses, wash clothes by hand, make butter, make toys out of wood, pan for gold, sing by the camp fire, and so much more.

It was a perfect day and will always be remembered. Sweet times :)

Indian Clothing Demonstration

We hosted the event at our house and even Danny the deer joined in the festivities!

Looks like a really fun day! Was this through your homeschool co-op?

No we actually only homeschool Katya, Nastya, and now Galina (who are all three in the same grade).

Allee, Jadon and Ben go to a wonderful, private school in our town. We are so thankful for it. It is such a blessing and is like a family. I can't imagine homeschooling all the different grades. I know that many people do it but I think it must be pretty challenging!
