Today we had to say goodbye to our sweet, loyal, beautiful dog Bailey. There are no words to describe how much I loved this dog. He was my baby before I had children. He was my friend when I went through hard times in college and always just seemed to sense if I was sad. I spent countless days taking walks, jogs, playing frisbee - back in the day he pretty impressive with the frisbee, or just hanging out with him. He was my helper when Allee was a baby - always patiently letting her pull his fur in efforts to stand up and giving her plenty of doggy kisses. He alerted us to a peeping tom at my neighbor's house. He went on tons of tubing trips and camping trips to garner - even wearing sunglasses occasionally. He loved the river and would swim for hours. He was a bit of an escape artist and went on many 'runs' around the neighborhood but incredibly nice people always returned him unharmed. He was so calm and loving and loyal and has been part of our family for so long. I don't think I will ever have a dog like Bailey again and while I am so thankful for the countless joys and memories that he brought, we are feeling his loss deeply.

Bailey Boy. He was one of the best dogs ever and i miss him so much. i found myself last nite remembering all the things i loved about him---his incredible skill at frisbee, his love of the water, his loving, patient way with ALL the children, his loyal way of always being by us but not in an annoying way. he was smart, kind, loyal and loving and beautiful too. he was the perfect family dog if ever there was one. and i will always love and remember him. but he had a long, good life with tons of fun and was very loved. i dont think a dog could of asked for more. if there is a doggie heaven, he is there waiting for his family. we will miss you bailey.
How sad. :( I had a dog like that too her name was Ginger and we lost her 2 years ago after 12 years. It is so hard. Dogs are the perfect 1st kid aren't they.
So sad. It is never easy to lose a beloved pet.
Your family is beautiful. I found you from SMiles and Trials.
